FINGERPRINTING SERVICES
The West Salem Police Department offers fingerprinting services to those in need. Anyone needing this service is required to bring along their fingerprint cards they received via the mail. We request that you call in advance to setup an appointment so that we can have an officer available at the time agreed upon. Most fingerprinting services are performed Monday through Friday 8 am through 4:45 pm. If due to your personnel circumstances none of these times will work, after hour exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. Please call (608) 786-0407 to schedule an appointment.

Fees: Resident of the Village of West Salem – Free
           Non-resident of the Village of West Salem - $10

*Please note residency refers to residing inside village limits, not just school district. A valid photo identification will be needed for residency verification

REPORT COPIES
Anyone interested in obtaining copies of police reports, accident reports, squad video, or other public records are asked to either call our main line during normal business hours or e-mail your request. In order to efficiently process your request, please have as much information available as possible. Items that are helpful may include victim’s name, suspect’s name, case #, date of incident, and type of report you are requesting.

Fees: Police Report/Accident Report Copies: $0.25 per page
           Squad Video onto Cd/Dvd: $20 per video
           Squad Video onto VHS: $25 per video
           Interview (audio and/or video): $20 per interview

Photograph Duplication:
Sizes available: 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, 8x10

Photos # 1-5: $5 each
Photos# 6+: $25 initial charge for first 5 photos, $2 a photo for 6 and above.
